Settings
Decide whether AI enriches your catalogue in the background, and how confident a proposal must be before it auto-approves.
Settings controls how aggressive the merchandiser is on your catalogue. There are two switches, and together they shape your day-to-day workflow.
Background enrichment
A master switch that decides whether AI agents run on your catalogue automatically.
- Off — nothing runs by itself. Enrichment only happens when you explicitly trigger it on a single product from My Products. Use this when you want to learn what the agents do before letting them loose, or when you're working through a fixed list of SKUs.
- On — Ranketta keeps enriching products in the background. New products get processed shortly after they arrive from a feed source, and existing ones are revisited as needed. Most teams flip this on once they've seen a few proposals and trust the output.
Auto-approval threshold
A confidence percentage between 0% and 100%. Any proposal whose confidence lands at or above this threshold is approved automatically and applied to the product immediately. Anything below lands in your Proposals queue for manual review.
A few practical notes:
- 95% is a safe starting point. It catches the obvious wins (where the agent is grounded in tool output) without letting interpretive suggestions through.
- Lower the threshold gradually. As you build trust on your specific catalogue, drop it to 90%, then 85%. Each step trades a bit of review time for more automation.
- 100% disables auto-approval. Every proposal will require a manual decision.
- 0% auto-approves everything. Not recommended. Even a high-confidence agent makes mistakes, and a manual sample is the safety net.
How they interact
| Background enrichment | Auto-approval threshold | What happens |
|---|---|---|
| Off | Any | Agents only run when you click a button. Resulting proposals always sit in the queue. |
| On | 100% | Agents run automatically. Every proposal lands in the queue for manual review. |
| On | 95% | Agents run automatically. High-confidence proposals ship straight to the catalogue; the rest queue up. |
| On | 0% | Agents run automatically and everything ships without review. Use with care. |
The right combination depends on how much hand-holding you want. Start strict, loosen as you go.
