Why use Looker Studio?

Prerequisites

• A Google account
• Access to Looker Studio (free)
• A Ranketta API key (Settings > Website > API Keys)

Getting your API key

1. In Ranketta, open the Looker Studio section
2. Click Connect Looker Studio
3. In the modal, create your API key in Settings > Website > API Keys
4. Copy your API key and keep it secure

Setting up the connector

1. Go to lookerstudio.google.com
2. Add the Ranketta Looker Studio connector as your data source
3. Enter your Ranketta API key in the connector configuration
4. Click Connect

Available data fields

• Date: Measurement date
• Visibility Percentage: How visible your brand is (0–100%)
• Sentiment Score: Brand sentiment (-100 to 100, 0 = neutral, higher is better)
• Average Position: Average ranking position in AI answers
• Share of Voice: Your share vs. competitors (0–100%)

Creating your first dashboard

1. Click Create > Report
2. Select your Ranketta data source
3. Add charts (time series, scorecards, tables)
4. Add filters (date range, etc.)
5. Style and share your dashboard

FAQ

How often does the data in my Looker Studio dashboard refresh?
The connector pulls data from Ranketta each time the report loads or is manually refreshed, so your dashboard reflects current data whenever you open or refresh it.

Do I need a paid Looker Studio account?
No. Looker Studio is free to use, and that's all you need alongside your Ranketta API key.

Is my API key visible to people I share the dashboard with?
The API key is entered once when you set up the connector's data source. People you share the report with view the resulting dashboard and don't need the key themselves to see it.
